Lj Morris - friends, family, music and photos
This is a site for a collection of thoughts to share and people I have had the pleasure to have met.
I am a full-time teacher in Baltimore City and a freelance writer, currently writing for Dirty Linen, magazine of world music based in Baltimore. I also have become involved in teaching therapeutic horseback riding for Easter Seals. Our program is located at Shady Pines Farm, home of YOUTH Program Inc., a nonprofit youth outreach program.
I live on a 38-acre farm in southern Pennsylvania.
The house is log and cement construction, built sometime before the Civil War. It, as they say, "needs work," but it has been our haven for over 28 years, and the only home my two sons have ever known. Some day we'll turn it into an estate Martha Stewart would be proud of. But right now, it's just ... home.

Above is a view of Brown's orchard, where I worked
as a baker about 20 years ago.

Our pony Mighty Mouse is nearly 40 years old, and quite a content old man.
The boys are too old to ride him, but they won't let me give him away - so
he mostly waits for room service these days. |
